  • Start date – 7th April 2026
  • Training - 3 weeks of classroom-based training from 9am to 5pm at our offices in Leicester city centre
  • Hybrid working - Once you are competent in the role you will benefit from the balance of hybrid working, working 3 days a week in our modern office environment and 2 days a week working from home
  • Working pattern - Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
  • Discretionary performance bonus included

We have an opportunity for a Corporate Licensing Consultant to join the team. The role will generate revenue through identifying new corporate music licensing opportunities and ensuring the accurate licensing of those businesses through a consultative & resilient sales approach.

To contribute to the achievement of both team and business revenue & cash targets.


What you will be doing

  • Make daily outbound activity to potential customers via phone, email & video conferencing.
  • To ensure an effective sales pipeline is developed and researched through a mix of self-sourcing and following up on prospect sales leads.
  • To identify businesses that use music and contact them to arrange adequate licencing by mutual agreement. (Via social media, news, web scraping, data dialling, networking etc.)
  • Follow the departments infringement process for non-compliant businesses which we can evidence are using content within our control.  This includes gathering and producing evidence to support collection of royalties.
  • Identify businesses that are not using music and sell in the benefits of introducing music with the objective to sell a licence.
  • To ensure that all customers are accurately and adequately licensed according to their declared music usage and upsell where possible.
  • To learn and follow our quality guidelines to ensure compliance with our legal requirements & to provide a positive and consistent customer experience.
  • To attend occasional networking and related events to understand the marketplace and create opportunities e.g., trade fairs
  • To maintain accurate notes in the customer relationship management system for all prospects and licensed accounts
  • To use objection handling techniques to resolve any customer queries or objections.
  • Carry out music usage audits/reality checking on customer accounts as required to ensure customers are adequately licensed and upsell usage where possible
  • To educate and advise customers, positively reinforcing benefits of music to their business, while ensuring that they understand and are adhering to the contractual licensing terms and conditions
  • To develop and maintain knowledge of market sectors, to meet revenue targets
  • To develop and maintain knowledge of core licensing processes and procedures including tariffs and Copyright Law
  • To undertake other tasks as reasonably requested
  • To attend occasional face to face meetings on site with customers when required

You will have

  • Sales / business development & outbound and or inbound customer contact is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills by phone, letter, face-to-face, email & video calling.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products, social media platforms, and ability to learn and utilise in house software.
